Julius Delius dies. Fritz's health
shows first signs of deterioration as a result of syphilis
contracted several years earlier. Sells off most of the Florida
plantation. Brother Max declared insolvent |

Delius and Co. passes to new owners |
1903 |
Composes 'Sea-Drift'. Marries Jelka Rosen.
The couple continue to live at the house in Grez, France,
owned by Jelka and her mother. Fritz is replaced by Frederick
as the first name of Delius from now on |

Frederick goes to London and meets Thomas
Beecham. Piano concerto performed at Promenade Concert under
Henry Wood. Composes 'Brigg Fair', 'Appalachia' performed

Frederick's health deteriorates
