Elevated general view of Bradford from Central Library c.1970. (Structures Section, Engineering Division). This was the original Odeon, designed by Robert Bullivant and constructed at the bottom of Manchester Road. It suffered in the World War Two bombing of Bradford of 31st August 1940. The Wardley Redevelopment Plan of the city centre demolished it to make way for the Law Courts/Police Station complex (itself due for redevelopment - the Police Station closed in 2007 and reopened at Nelson Street.) This cinema closed on 22nd March 1969.
