The Wesleyan Eastbrook Chapel opened on September 2nd 1825 as a second chapel to that at Kirkgate, and had a 1500 capacity. The chapel was abandoned in 1899 as the structure had been weakened. In 1900 it was decided to demolish the chapel and build a 'Central Mission Hall' on the site. Foundation stones were laid on June 14th 1902. The building was designed by W.J Morley and Son, of Bradford, with accommodation for 2,200. The back wall of the old chapel was incorporated into the new structure. It opened for services in 1904.
