LOST Bradford
Lost Bradford is a collection of images held at Bradford
Central Library. The reason behind this set of pages is to give greater
access to photographs that record a historical period that has disappeared
for ever. Included in this collection are images of the former Central
Library on Darley Street, the Swan Arcade, the Bradford Beck etc. all
of which are evocative of a Bradford long gone. The Alhambra Theatre
is very much alive, but the pictures of it here capture it an earlier
stage in its history, when it looked quite different.
The process of change never stops, however, and we'll
soon be refreshing this site with pictures of buildings lost from the
landscape of 2006...
